YASMIN GRAY- Principal/RAD Ballet

Yasmin started dancing when she was 4, learning firstly under Jillian Andrews and then under Philippa Campbell and Joye Lowe. With a passion for teaching at an early age, she started helping with junior classes at Philippa Campbell School of Dance at age 14. In 2002, she started her Royal Academy of Dance Teaching Certificate as well as opening Dance West. Starting in a small school hall with only 3 students, she eventually leased then purchased the current studio on Keeling Road in 2015. Now with over 140 students, Yasmin continues to teach most days, as well as previously working as a full time secondary teacher in the subject area of Business. She holds a Master of Film, TV and Media Studies (Auckland) and a Grad. Dip in Secondary Teaching (Waikato). Her daughter Lexie was born in 2016, and along with Chris and her parents Lisa-May and Robert, plays an active part in the studio life. Some say Lexie is the real boss…
